Anina Liebkind will join the partnership of disputes specialist firm Norburg & Scherp as of 1 February 2021. Anina Liebkind has spent several years with Baker & McKenzie’s dispute resolution team in Stockholm, where she focused on a wide array of disputes and acted for clients from a number of industries including insurance, energy, finance and telecommunications.
Admitted to the bars of both Sweden and Finland, Anina started her career as a disputes lawyer in the Finnish law firm Merilampi, and thereafter at the international dispute resolution firm Lalive, in Geneva. She holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki, and an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement from the Graduate Institute of Geneva (MIDS). She is fluent in English, Finnish, French and Swedish.
Anina’s experience covers domestic litigation as well as domestic and international arbitration proceedings conducted under various ad hoc and institutional rules, including ICC, ICSID, SCC, FIA and UNCITRAL, governed by a multiplicity of procedural and substantive laws.
Anina is recognized by Who’s Who Legal (WWL) Arbitration 2021 – Future Leaders as among the best young arbitration practitioners world-wide, and as a National Leader for arbitration in Sweden. She is a thought leader that frequently publishes and lectures on an assortment of arbitration topics, including acting as a visiting lecturer for the Master of Laws in International Commercial Arbitration (ICAL) program at the University of Stockholm. She is also the Co-Chair of the IBA Arb 40 Subcommittee.
