Magnus Jonson will join the partnership of Swedish disputes specialist firm Norburg & Scherp as of 1 February 2021. Magnus is a leading expert with more than 25 years experience of litigation in the fields of competition law and intellectual property law.
Magnus Jonson has a background as a deputy director at the Swedish Competition Authority, where he acted as counsel for the Competition Authority in competition litigation for several years. He has also been a partner at Swedish niche firm Sandart & Partners, where he focused on competion and intellectual property law, and counsel at commercial law firm Setterwalls. In the beginning of his career, Magnus served as a junior judge at Swedish courts for several years, including the Svea Court of Appeal and the Market Court. He has also served at the Swedish Ministry of Trade and Industry, where he prepared competition legislation. He earned an LL.M. degree from the Stockholm University in 1991.
